摘要

The aim of this research is to obtain the information about increasing the activity in learning social science, which is used cooperative learning through group investigation system on fourth grade students of SD Negeri 26 Pontianak Tenggara. The method of this research is descriptive method, in form of classroom action research and collaborative. Hence, the increasing in social science learning activity in first cycle is 45,64%, then increased to 72,52% in the second cycle. The enhancement of learning activity in the first cycle and the second cycle is 26,88%. Thus, the average score in social science learning activity on fourth grade students of SD Negeri 26 Pontianak Tenggara on the first cycle can be categorized as quite good, then on the second cycle can be categorized as good.
